This is a learning experience for me! I have been knitting for many years but I have not blogged before!
I am the current president of the Tidewater Knitting Guild of Virginia. One of my duties is to maintain and update the TKGV website. I am learning how to do just that.
I hope all knitters who visit our website are inspired by what we do. We have a lot of knitters who donate knitted items to charities through our guild. We bring in teachers for classes and share what we are knitting during the meetings. I often am amazed and inspired by the projects our guild members complete. If you live in the Tidewater area, please join us for a meeting.
I enjoy knitting sweaters for children because I can try out new yarns, new patterns and whimiscal things in projects that finish up pretty quickly. I am lucky to have two young nephews and a young niece as well as six step-grandchildren for whom I can knit. The above photo is a sweater I knit last year for my step-grandson.
As time allows I will continue updating the blog!
